Register Office Ceremonies

Step 4 – from 19 July 2021:

  • Safety, and maintaining the level of public services we can offer are our priorities.
  • Registrars will wear a face covering.
  • We’re requiring all visitors to East Sussex County Council buildings, including our Register Offices, to continue to wear a face covering in public areas and ceremony rooms (unless exempt).
  • We urge all people attending wedding ceremonies at which we officiate, in any venue, to continue to wear a face covering (unless exempt).

East Sussex has four Register Offices located at:

  • Hookstead, Crowborough 
  • Eastbourne Town Hall, Eastbourne
  • Hastings Town Hall, Hastings
  • Southover Grange, Lewes

Our Register Offices provide the option of ten ceremony rooms. Each one providing an elegant setting, suitable for any ceremony. Whether a small intimate affair or a larger celebration, our ceremony rooms can accommodate 4 to 80 people, and cater to all budgets. Register Office ceremonies are available 7 days a week and can be personalised with your own additions. 

All our Register Offices have a least one accessible ceremony room. If you or any of your guests have accessibility issues you may need to consider which ceremony room will be most suitable. To discuss your accessibility needs contact us on 0345 60 80 198.
