Situated in the beautiful Southover Grange public gardens in Lewes, this 16th Century Grade II* listed manor house is a stunning setting for any type of ceremony.
The Grange boasts two beautiful ceremony rooms:
* The Evelyn Room
* The Ainsworth Room
The Grange is a magnificent building formed of French Caen stone, taken from Lewes Priory, demolished in 1537 during the dissolution of the monasteries. The house has been restored to a 5* standard, ensuring that history, character and charm have been retained. Restoring the oak panelling, ornate moulded plaster ceilings and the opening of the fireplaces on the ground floor has transformed this manor house back to its former glory. It boasts a large welcoming wood-panelled Grand Hall with many original features alongside luxurious modern twists. Opening off the Grand Hall are the two stunning ceremony rooms, each individually styled to reflect the grandeur and elegance required for your ceremony.
Southover Grange is located in the beautiful Southover gardens, which is home to some magnificent trees, including one of the oldest Mulberry trees in England, estimated to be over 350 years old. Colourful plants decorate the gardens and can be enjoyed throughout the changing seasons, giving you the perfect backdrop for your ceremony photos.
There is no parking at Southover Grange, paid on street parking is available.
Please ensure that you and your guests allow plenty of time to park as it is very important that the ceremony begins on time.
Lewes train station is 10 minute walk from Southover Grange.
